Breaking the Grrrl

Breaking the Grrrl is an online zine started by Nicolette Blount and her Riot Grrrl Anti Musical co-writer Sirena Grey. Many moons ago in the 90s, Sirena  started a zine during the Riot Grrrl movement called The Underground that Nicolette contributed to.  When they began to write Riot Grrrl they decided to bring the 1990s zines into 2026. Breaking the Grrrl is an online community for those who identify as female, transfeminine, nonbinary, or gender-fluid to share writing, art, poetry, thoughts, and conversations around feminism, music, theatre, identity, and social issues in a safe place.
