Nicolette was chosen for a week long residency with Creative Nations in Boulder, CO for their First Storytellers Festival to feature a reading of her musical Savage with a talkback after. Savage is the only musical out of all the plays featured.

Featured in Celebration of Native Arts Concert

Nicolette was honored to have some of her music from Savage  featured at “Focus on Native Composers” with Celebration of Native Arts in Colorado along with other Native composers. They performed Warrior  and ended the concert with  Unconquerable. Boh songs featured some of her Chickasaw tribe's endangered language.

Nicolette along with her cowriter Lindel Hart are 2024 Semifinalists for the prestigous O'Neill New Musical Theatre Conference residency for their show Savage inspired by Nicolette's Chickasaw great grandma Wanda Savage . . Being a semifinalist is a huge honor. This means that out of over 500 shows who applied, Savage was one of the 15-20% selected to be a semifinalist. A huge honor.

The Fellowship program started in 2000, but 2024 is the first year to go National.  She joins other prior fellows such as Pasek and Paul (Dear Evan Hansen, Greatest

Nicolette Cowrites a Song for the Ring of Keys Gala Benefit

Nicolette cowrote a song with Nico Juber in response to Alan Menken's Santa Fe from Newsies. With that inspiration they cowrote Palm Springs for the event and it was perfromed by Darius-Anthony Robinson and Garnet Williams. Also featured at the event was Auli'i (Moana, Mean Girls) and Taylor Iman Jones (Head Over Heels, Six) Directed by M

Savage at Broadway Shark Tank

Savage, the musical Nicolette is working on, was chosen out of 65+ musicals to participate in the first ever Broadway Shark Tank. They performed two songs from Savage (watch here: https://www.youtube.com/c/SavageTheMusical) Savage received 2nd place and the writers got tons of great feedback from the Broadway producers.

Congratulations to everyone who won the Broadway World Boston Regional Awards. Savage the Musical lost by 1% for Best New Musical. 11 nominations resulted in 6 Runner Ups.  Thank you to all who voted.

SAVAGE THE MUSICAL Releases Much Anticipated EP - Article on Broadwayworld.com

Savage the Musical, which Nicolette cowrote, co-composed, and wrote the lyrics for, released a 7 song EP  on June 28, 2021.  The short album is streaming on all music platforms (iTunes, Spotify, etc..).  Broadwayworld.com wrote a great article about the album with some insight into each song as it takes place in the show.
