Nicolette has started an online zine with her co-writer for the show Riot Grrrl, Sirena Grey, A community of female artists, poets, and writers submit to this quarterly zine that highlights culture from a female lens.

Nicolette Blount performed Cat's Meow from Savage: The Unconquerable Wanda Savage with her daughter Logan Blount at the Broadway cabaret, Mom's Night Out at The Green Room 42. Both Logan and Nicolete are members of the Chickasaw tribe.

Native Broadway performers Brooke Simpson (Broadway 1776, Off Broadway Blood/Love, The Voice, America's Got Talent) and Kimberly JaJuan (Broadway Ragtime, King David, Marie Christine) performed Warrior from Savage at GreenRoom 42.

Nicolette and her co-writer Lindel Hart are 2025 Semifinalists for the O'Neill New Musical Theatre Conference residency for their show Savage. Roughly the top quarter of submissions advance to the semifinal round.

Nicolette's show Savage: The Unconquerable Wanda Savage was chosen for a week long residency with Creative Nations at the Dairy Arts Center in Boulder, CO for their First Storytellers Festival to feature a public reading of Savage with a talkback after. Savage is the only musical out of all the plays featured.

Nicolette has started to write a new show called Off With Your Head with G. Victoria Campbell. Off With Your Head is a haunting psychological musical where Wonderland becomes a distorted reflection of a mother’s mind fractured by trauma. As the Queen of Hearts spirals deeper into madness, the line between villain and victim begins to shatter.

Savage Creators Nicolette Blount and Lindel Hart were honored to be among the top 20 finalists for the 2024 Rhinebeck Writers Retreat.

Cowriters Nicolette Blount and Lindel Hart were selected to be part of the Bethany Arts Multidisciplinary Residency in upstate New York 2024.

Savage, the musical Nicolette is working on, was chosen out of 65+ musicals to participate in the first ever Broadway Shark Tank. They performed two songs from Savage (watch here: https://www.youtube.com/c/SavageTheMusical) Savage received 2nd place and the writers got tons of great feedback from the Broadway producers.

Congratulations to everyone who won the Broadway World Boston Regional Awards. Savage the Musical placed runner up by just 1% for Best New Musical. 11 nominations resulted in 6 Runner Ups. Thank you to all who voted.

Songs from Savage: The Unconquerable Wanda Savage were commissioned for performance in “Focus on Native Composers,” presented by Celebration of Native Arts in Colorado alongside works by other Native composers. The concert featured “Warrior” and closed with “Unconquerable,” both incorporating the endangered language of Nicolette’s Chickasaw tribe.

Savage the Musical was honored to be one of 31 shows out of 500 to be given Honorable Mention in this award which means that one or more committee members (voters) said our show was their pick for the win! Nicolette is proud of her 6 years of work with her cowriter, Lindel Hart and what they have accomplished thus far.

Nicolette was interviewed for the Daily Hampshire Gazette and they did a full two page article on her Great Grandma Wanda Savage and her show Savage the Musical.

Savage the Musical, which Nicolette cowrote, co-composed, and wrote the lyrics for, released a 7 song EP on June 28, 2021. The short album is streaming on all music platforms (iTunes, Spotify, etc..). Broadwayworld.com wrote a great article about the album with some insight into each song as it takes place in the show.
